I don't personally know anyone that bought their PS3 for just a blu-ray player, but I don't doubt they exist.
And @ the above comment, DVD can suck my left nut >_>; After being graced with sharpness and color richness that is High Def movies, I literaly refuse to rent DVD's unless there cartoon movies, or HD-DVD exclusive >_> The color is just too... nasty ...
