Well ... hmm. 
OK, P&P do their thing and it's so awesome it blocks the enemy for N1 as well as N2.  So they were trapped through the entirety of Day 2, logically.  (*)
But meanwhile the enemy has done something to make Day 2 disappear, so that we don't get to talk and lynch anyone, just as they don't get to talk and kill anyone. 

That is only a hypothesis I threw together just now.  But how does it sound? 

(*) Alternate idea:  the mafia simply sacrificed their N1 kill to do this super awesome day-erasing move.  But P&P still stopped them on N2.  (Blocking them for the whole Day 2, including Night.)

@ Vetteman:  don't let this stop you from throwing out your own ideas. 

Well with them manipulating time I would imagine that it would be in their favor,  hence skipping the day to get to night so they could get an extra kill and avoid a possible costly lynch.  But being trapped by a sacrifice may have screwed over their plans.
