The early adopters will purchase it based on it's potential and it being new tech. Kinect has struck a chord with the mainstream media and with a family friendly line up at launch, it could lead to big sales this holiday. Then, they follow up with the core games the following year to continue the momentum. It may or may not work, but it seems like a pretty sound strategy to me. |
Oh I don't think that MS' approach is bad, I think it makes perfect sense considering who they are trying to attract. I just don't have much interest yet. I'm sure my kids will be asking me about it soon though so I may be getting Kinect sooner than planned.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
