Specificially, the crying guy cried and hugged an actor who probably had nothing to do with the development of the game. That's kind of like thanking and praising an actor for a political view of a character he portrayed when in reality the actor has an opposite stance. Hey, I'm all for getting hyped for a game. In fact, I cried at the end of the original Suikoden almsot 10 years ago because it was such an awesome game with an awesome ending. But chances are, this guy hasn't even played the game yet let alone finish it. And to hug a total stranger that's portraying a fictional character. In this context, it's NOT being hardcore (which is an insult to the term). More accurately it's blind worship. But maybe I'm being too critical or my works are coming off as such which I do not mean to. At the very least, his crying and hugging over Reach pretty much compares to tween girls crying over Jason Bieber. Fandom at its finest???
