I won't defend inaccurancies but charm and fun! goes a long way to reaching the expanded base.
Even IGN's editors finds Move's sports game lacking replayability.

For most lay people who have probably played Wii Sports to death, improved accurancy won't win them over if it's just not that much fun to play.
