That is true. But lots people own an HD system and a Wii. If they really cherished the improved aiming IR gave, they'd get CoD on Wii (as well as or instead of HD). Heck, if they wanted the best aiming and graphics they'd play on PC. As is I wouldn't expect FPS on Wii to be monster sellers due to the graphics/power limitations but I would expect them to sell a lot more if motion/IR aiming matter to the FPS crowd. It doesn't and Move owners will quickly go back to Dual analog after the novelty wears off. |
Well maybe they do cherish the improved aiming the IR gave, but because their friends dont have that console they arent going to buy it. Let face it, the majority of consoles FPS gamers are buying them for the online play, which means that they are going to be looking at which friends are buying it and which will have the best online features with first and foremost. Both of which the Wii really lacks at compared to the other 2 consoles.
In addition to that, it also could be that maybe that maybe the average FPS gamer doesnt understand what the advantages are for the IR pointer control system. Im gonna guess not because if they knew, they would be playing on PC like you said. But introducing that control scheme to a larger group could expand the awareness of the advantages. Let face it, if the average CoD gamer found out he could get an advantage over his buddies just by using a different controller, they would.
