It's  a chick flick. Only young male kids (I'd usually say up to something like 4 or 5, but I'll grant the effects take this number a bit higher) are excused.

I use a simple guide:

Is the movie a porn (with no man on man, of course)?

Is the movie about mindless, badass action?

Is the movie very cinical?

Is it a terror movie?

Is it a (non-romantical) comedy?

If you can answer no to all of the above, you just found a chick flick.
