I think it earned the shooter box rep when the most popular and highest rated games are shooters. Those games attract a significant portion of 360 owners but there are certainly more to choose from but in terms of diversity 360 doesn't stack up to the PS3 or Wii imo.
Except for the fact the shooterbox was the Xbox not Xbox 360. With Xbox you either loved shooters and/or action games or you likely didn`t care for it much but with X360 you could be a fan of any genre and find soemthign you love on it.
Wait, isn't XB360 called shooterbox because before the slim it was so faulty that US soldiers in the desert, to play shooters, had to actually shoot at consoles themselves? O-)

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
