Since you didn't like Halo 3 did you buy Halo: ODST by any chance. I'm curious because I love Halo since the original, but skipped out on buying ODST because I thought it was a ripoff for $60. Since I'm now buying REACH for sure I wonder how many people bought Halo 3, skipped ODST, and came batch for the REACH hype.

The campaign will be short I've read, but at least firefight can still be single player coop so you might get your moneys worth.

You know, I was going to, getting all caught up in the hype of the MS marketing machine once again, getting into the whole novelty of being a Recon grunt rather than a Spartan super soldier, but I think I ended up hearing from enough people/reviewers that it wasn't really a "full" Halo game, and not really worth my $60. Didn't help that the game was originally being pumped as a Halo 3 expansion. By the time the game was being heavily discounted, I had pretty much forgotten about it.

So I'm probably in the same exact category as you, which was more or less responsible for ODST selling significantly less than both Halo 3 and Reach (just based on pre-sales projections).

I'm not terribly concerned about "getting my money's worth" for Halo Reach. The game would have to be a complete trainwreck for that to even be an issue and all the early reviews pretty much confirm it's a hit on all levels. I just want a satisfying campaign, short or not (by my standards 5-6 hours being too short) that leaves me feeling satisfied when it's over.

Halo 3 fell short for the "conclusion" of an epic trilogy. And yes, I'll say that after finishing CE, I did find myself thinking "THAT'S how they ended the game?!" Let's just say I pretty much hate anything involving the use of the Warthog.

Well I know I've seen plenty more Warthog parts in Reach, but I'm not as much of an expert as many of the compleatly hyped guys on here so who knows. Just remember if you play coop all you do is call ther gunner position and you won't have to drive that boring warthog. lol.I personally though CE warhog ending was better and more challenging than the ending of Halo 3. So I agree Halo threes ending sucked, but I mostly was mad because I thought the campaign was to short. I don't care if they added filler levels with no story because Halo was always more about action for me rather than the story.

Well heres to REACH being badass only a little more time, to bad as usual when a big release comes I have tests all week keeping me from playing. If yur interested in firefight I'd be down to play when I have the time. PEACE
