The Old Testament makes is clear time and time again no one is justified by "The Law" which is why the OT points to the Messiah. According the OT the Jews at first claimed they could keep the law yet they failed miserably at it even with the right conditions. Even a man after God's own heart failed to keep the law yet there was promised someone greater than David would follow after him. If atheist is trying to prove the Jews (Israel) were a butch of sinners then even the OT itself made this claim.
