you know, this is the first coment to realy surprise me not many americans mention him. that is such an amazing movie and tarkovsky is such an amazing director. I like solaris a bit more though, but it is indeed amazing

I've only seen the remake of Solaris and it is THE worst movie I have ever seen.

I´ll agree with you on that. the george clooney remake it just crap (can I say crap?). but the original is one of my favorite ones. I dont know if you´d like it though but you should give it a try
