Did it? well does not always work that way, but it could.


LBP 2 and Mass Effect also look like good contenders. 

As do God of War III and Red Dead Redemption. Lest we forget the year 2010 has been.

GT5 and New Vegas as well.

Indeed, although in GT5's case, I imagine it winning Racer of the Year instead of GOTY.

Let's not forget Fable III! Fable II won a few GOTY awards after all!
