Because Muslims live in North America. That's why it's a big deal over here. The U.S. isn't afraid of middle eastern countries, which is why the US is always at war over there. Christians are seeing America as their country and the Muslims are 'invading' which is a flawed way of looking at things. Muslims in America are Americans, just as much as any other tax paying America. They don't live in the middle east. The conflict is very much internal between Americans.
