Is this your interpretation? Because that is not the way it is laid out in the bible. The new testament clearly states that all of the old testament still applies. But you can believe what you want to believe.
The point is that Christianity is not all peace and love and blah, blah, blah. Any religion can be used for evil purposes. They all have at one time or another. To say one is better or worse than the other is extremely naive. Any method of mass control will go awry eventually.
