How Uncharted 2 set the technical benchmark (extensive read)

I still haven't gotten my hands on GoW3 but from the games I've played, Uncharted 2 stands alone.  It's hard to find fault with this game's technical achievements.  The first time I saw that scene with the helicopter, the wind blown trees, and the crumbling building, I orgasmed twice.
