The game (Donkey Kong Country) doesn't look evolved much from the original games on the SNES, and after the first game, I completely lost interest in them. I downloaded parts 2 and 3 on the Wii for my ex-wife and they still didn't do anything for me when I played 'em. I had a lot of fun with DKC1, but the gameplay doesn't appeal to me anymore.
Kirby looks just jaw-droppingly amazing. The creativity shown in that game on the gameplay and graphical style blow me away. I hope what's been shown is only a bare fraction of the depths of creative gameplay found therein. I haven't been excited for a Kirby game since Kirby's Adventure on the NES. Yeah, I'm that old. And I started with the series waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy back in the day with the first installment on the Game Boy. Er, my younger brother's Game Boy. The one that was the size of a cinder block and half as heavy.
