Don't bring that garbage in here. I thought Valve was dumb in their criticism of the PS3 as well. Everything from Newell's mouth is so over the top now it's hard to take anything he says seriously. But yeah, please show me someone in this thread who was praising Valve for their PS3 commentary. Stop implying that everyone who criticizes Valve is a 360 fanboy.

But when the gabe was anti sony there were plenty of people who didn't criticize it but actually even use it to do their usual childish rants why they are better than thou and how sony shoul have done better and made a console easier to make games to since it was missing out on quality products from valve..fanboys? Who knows and I don't really care. But the tones have changed greatly from both ends to be fair. So yeah don't bring in this everyone was nice and kind and was against gabes fatass bs back in the day cuz that's just Bull at it's finest. Not many from the non sony fans used to criticize Gabes random rants back in the day and that's fact.

Only fanboys criticize Gabe Newell.
The truth is, Gabe was always right about the PS3. He criticized the fact that it's much harder to make a game on PS3 than any other platform. This is further supported by him releasing Valve games only on Xbox 360, which according to him, the cost of porting from PC to Xbox 360 is pocket change.
Valve and Gabe Newell did it right: They waited for PS3's documentation to improve and there be more programmers experienced with the PS3 for them to advance. Which means Valve never needed to make the extra effort that many companies were forced to in the beginning of the generation. Also, the Source Engine was never able use on PS3 games, but the announcement of Portal 2 makes it look like they were already planning to make a jump to the PS3.
PS3 fanboys criticized for nothing. Just like now Xbox 360 fanboys are criticizing him for nothing too.
As for the Xbox Live, Valve and Gabe ALWAYS criticized it. Microsoft stopped them from giving free and awesome content to X360 owners, and Steam's amazing growth has proven that Xbox Live's subscription method is becoming more and more negative. PSN also helps in arguments against Xbox Live.
