Sub-zero, Lao, Cyrax, Mileena and Scorpion make me happy so far.
Needs more Baraka.
This game is heavily inspired from the original to UMK3....UMK3 had 27, IIRC. So, the 26 characters...shall we speculate ?
Kitana, Reptile, Nightwolf, Scorpion,Mileena, Sub-zero, Sektor, Cyrax, Kung Lao and Johnny Cage are confirmed.
Cage isn't in UMK3...so he has been added. 27 (plus) 1 = 28
There are essentially 3 sub-zeros....classic Sub-zero, young Sub-zero and Noob in UMK3. Since this guy in the new game is classic Sub-zero from MK1, that means he will probably be the only guy out of the 3 to make the cut....unless they bring Noob saibot in too.
28-2 (or -1 incase Noob makes it.) = 26 (27)
There are 2 smokes in UMK3.

I doubt any of the BIG characters will be playable...so no Motaro and maybe Sheeva.... Shao Kahn was in the first trailer, so he probably will make an appearance. He might not be playable.

Stryker sux....so he won't make it. Neither will Rain probably cause Ed Boon mentioned they don't want to have the colour swapped characters. I had my doubts on Ermac too, but Boon has hinted about his inclusion. Jade will probably make it though.

Edit : Forgot that Baraka wasn't in UMK3....
So the highest becomes 27 and lowest 22... to scrap Li Mei/Fujin and leave the other 4...probably the most popular Post UMK3 characters, right ?
