Exclusivity is a reality. Without exclusivity we would not be able to differentiate one console from the other in terms of the experience. EA and Bioware chose to multi-plat Mass Effect 2 for the very reasons I listed of a higher audience and higher lifetime sales. As a 360 owner, am I pissed that the greatest series of the 360 is being given to Sony gamers? Sure quite a bit, but I understand the reasons, which allow me to swallow that sour pill.

In my mind, Sony has more quality exclusives than Microsoft without a doubt. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are franchises I grew up with in my formative years and still have fond memories of to this day.  Furthermore, with doubt about the Final Fantasy 13 vs. being available for the 360, I feel as if it is a one way street where classic franchises are released and become phenomenons on the 360 to later be given to Sony gamers without 360 gamers getting something in return.

What I want in return is the Heavy Rain series going multi-plat. Is this too much to ask?

Where was this attitude during previous generations? Where was the outcry about everything should be multi-plat during the PS1/PS2 generations when sony was getting  a ton of exclusives.

God I hate how senationlized/lionized multi-plat games are this generation.People act like its damn crime against humanity to make an exclusive game.Am I supposed to shead tears because 360 only owners can't play Uncharted and PS3 only heads can't play Halo? Boo-fucking-hoo.

As a PS3/360 owner I want both consoles to have as many exclusives as they can...I want UNIQUE experinces from my consoles.Everything going mutiplatform takes away all the fun from being a multi-console owner.

Its become fucking annoying hearing people say they want EVERYTHING to be muti-plat...Every damn franchise,Developer,etc...LET THESE CONSOLES HAVE A DAMN IDENTITY.

But the truth of the matter is this...Alot of these people are one console owners and they simply want the games they are missing out on on other consoles and could really give a rats ass about what other people are "missing out on".They hind behing talking points like "You shouldn't limit your audience" and "yay more games for everyone" and "Its good that more people get to play this" and other lame gamer-hippie talk which they really don't mean.

I agree with this completely. Going multiplatform is a bad thing.
