Not that it was "Clever" and promotes freedom of religion.

Clever because it pisses off the people who were using the same reasoning and rules to piss off other people.

As in... showing them the double edged sword of being insensitive.  Basically turning the issue on it's head and making everyone look like a hypocrit who doesn't take a libretarian view  on both issues.

I don't think that the point of the mosque is to insult anybody.

A lot of people would disagree... since they've been offered a bunch of free land in areas not that far away that would be less sensitive to people with PTSD and they've turned down all offers.

It's not Islam's fault that that terrorist attack took place, so if people are offended by the mosque it's their own bigotry that's the problem.

So... people with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are bigots.  You're calling people with a mental disorder caused on by stress bigoted... I think you should look in the mirror on this one in who is acting bigoted.

Example, if a Mcdonalds employee went to a small neighberhood and shot up a bunch of people in it wearing his uniform.  Chances are, that if people who lived through that saw a Mcdonalds they would infact be caused lots of stress and other issues.

Does that make those people bigots?  Because they're "Equating all McDonalds employees as murders!"

I'm going to say... no.  Because they aren't equating all Mc Donalds employees as murders, looking at a Mcdonalds triggers such a reaction.

Now, McDonalds wants to build a McDonalds in this neighberhood and the land they could get is withing view of a place where said victims gather... others, who don't want these victims to go through more generously donate land a few blocks away.

Mc Donalds clearly has the right to still build there and in turn lend to agitating those people... but should they?
