On topic, yes your story is unique, and that will certainly be one Cristmas you will not soon forget.
Could be a lot crazier/worse though. There was a tiger running around in a zoo in San Francisco on Christmas day that killed one man and attacked two other people.
The parents of the one who was killed by a tiger are devastated, and have decided to never celebrate Christmas again.
