It's $5 and it takes just a screwdriver and a random number of brain cells to change the battery. Amazon/eBay links already posted.
Being angry at a controller battery is hardly a reason to fuck it up for someone who may end up buying the rumble-less, battery-drained sixaxis, or for the store, if they happen to discover it first.
