At the very least, there could have been maps made that would have been made to support split screen. Then we could have either online with full screen, or offline with split screen. Then all that would be lost would be split screen co-op. Then not even detail would have to be lost, as the maps for split screen would be made to accomodate them.
How could that have been left out as a possibility? Having some exclusive maps wouild have helped make up for split screen being limited to them.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
