In london, most news media are hailing Kinect as the 2nd coming of gaming so...yeah...kinda.

What media is this?  I live in London and have seen very little for Kinect or Move in general - i.e. non-gaming - media.  So far most stuff I've seen has been gaming media specific or the odd bit in a store.  Maybe I'm not watching enough TV...

BBC Radio 1 and 5live have both done features on why Kinect will be filled with win, note this was during E3 2010 where the Move was mentioned in passing, last ps3 news that got covered on Radio 1 was Geohot's supposed hack and the Apocalyps3 for a point of reference.

Well, that's what I mean, for a more casual audience, that's hardly blanket media coverage.  The Wii got featured on all major TV news shows in UK, for example.  E3 coverage isn't going to achieve that, even if it's via channels like BBC Radio 1.

I'd say right now, the general population of Kinect / Move - the population who would have to buy into them to get them anywhere near the Wii - have very little visibility or awareness of either at this point.  I do think in US Kinect, via smart marketing agreements and approaches from MS, has had more coverage by general media, but in UK it really doesn't seem remotely on that level to me.
