Anyhow, his comment was ultimately saying my opinions are fueled by me being a fan of the 360.

This is the only time he alluded to your fandom. To bring logic into the situation, let's take a look at what you just said. The fact that you're a fan of the 360 has an effect on your opinions, just as my love of pad-thai effects my perception of asian people (love 'em). So even if he was saying your opinions are effected by your fan status, so what?
