Kinect seems like a way to get the whole family gaming and consuming media on the Xbox. Auto-login with face recognition, voice control, and no controllers seems like it will eliminate all the barriers to entry to non-gamers. The more family friendly game content also seems like a smart way to not alienate and offend non-gamers.
Move seems like a way to get hardcore gamers to waste money on a slew of peripherals they won't end up using because they can't compete with the dualshock. Could be wrong but I just don't see regular people getting excited about Move games or controlling the XMB with the Move controller. The Move games look very generic and bland to me compared to the Kinect lineup.
