True 120 hz is great. The TV he got prolly isn't 120 hz however. Having a 120 hz pannel and true 120 hz TV are completely different.
One only accepts 60 hz input but inserts frames in to you movie and makes it look like a crappy home video, faking the 120 hz effect
Other allows for 120 hz input (only a computer is of 120 hz) and soothes the eyes when gaming, browsing the net, and general computer use.
