At one time I strongly argued for a full retreat to the green line and financial repayment to Palestinians for Arab homes within Israel that are lost to the millions of refugees. However, I've come to believe now that the only real solution is a full annexation of WB/Gaza by Israel with immediate full rights bestowed on the Arab populace, including refugees. However, Israel is at best to do that for WB only. In the end it wouldn't matter as time would be on Arab's side and they would quickly return to the majority population.

Another solution is that the Palestinian refugees stop calling themselves Palestinians and accept that they're Arabs who can live anywhere in the huge Arab world.

Because the Jews are the people who have the strongest historical connection to the territory and because Israel is acknowledged by the UN as a Jewish sovereign nation.

That's BS. Arabs have lived there as a majority for hundreds of years longer than Jews ever did. Jews only think they havea stronger connection due to their narrow minded history.
People lived there before Jews migrated there and Arabs moved in after Romans kicked them out. Again, the Dome of the Rock has stood longer than BOTH Jewish temples COMBINED, by hundreds of years.

But Jews came there long before the Arabs, and they're there now.
And the First Jewish temple was built more than a thousand years before the Dome, and they still have the Western Wall which is a remnant of the Second Temple. And hopefully some day a full temple will be rebuilt.

Yes, they're there now and you could say that THAT is the problem. Frankly speaking Israel shouldn't be there. It's a nation that was just set up, literally by the British, out of thin air after WW2. And this at the expense of Palestine. If Israel wanted the land then grab your guns and grab it . But having someone (who had no authority over the territory in the first place) give you the land as essentially an appeasement and then say its yours is wrong. What is America lost the war and Russia decided to give China Texas for all their hardship at the hands of the Japanese? Would you like that?
