There are a better way to control the overpopulation:

-Increase the quality of life.

In Japan, for example, the population is not increasing anymore. And even if is increasing a little, the advance of technology can surpass this.

In Africa, in contrast, people have 15 children...

But....why we need to make better lives outta there if we can distribute sterilization shots? Very convenient, huh?

The elite don't want people to stop breeding.  We're nowhere near overpopulation... ESPIECALLY with immigration shut off.

Other parts of the world yeah... but not the US.

Or Europe... or for that matter Japan.  Japan s rapidly trying to fight their decreasing population.  I mean, it's just outright scary how fucked japan will be soon.  Retired people may become the freaking majority.

Just because overpopulation is a problem Over There doesn't mean it can't cause serious problems for the whole world. The green revolution is unravelling in India due to unsustainable agricultural practices. What happens when a state armed with nuclear weapons can no longer feed a billion hungry mouths?

The economic challenges of a stagnant population are serious, too, but given our finite world, I see countries like Japan as leading the charge on problems that all nations will have to face eventually. Germany doesn't seem to be having nearly as much trouble with their stagnant population.
