Ok, for Severance's sake, I'll name the worst hero to ever stink up comic books in the Eastern World: Light Yanami of Death Note fame. He's so awful that his creator ended his series, and his life, after just 12 volumes, just because his creator couldn't stand how awful his creation turned out to be. Let me put that in context for you:
Dragonball (including Z): 42 volumes
Naruto (including Shippuden and Kakashi's story): Ongoing but already topping 50 volumes
Bleach: Ongoing but already topping 40 volumes
Rurouni Kenshin: 24 volumes
Death Note: 12 volumes
