both dante and kratos are bad ass. But i think Dante is even more of a badass. I mean he got impaled by a big ass sword in the first one and instead of pulling the sword out he goes all the way through it. And in the third game he got shot in the face. If getting shot in the face and living isn't bad ass then i don't know what is.
