Outside Nintendo moneyhats or direct hires, I don't think the support was ever there in the first place. Especially from Tecmo Koei. :/
As is, blargh, totally awful lineup. Even in terms of just Musou, it sucks pretty hard. Where's Shin Sangoku Musou 6? Sengoku Musou 3 Musoshiden? Hokuto Musou 2?
