Technically, Seece really should still be in this because everybody knows Seece, so he is one of the most famous users. Not everybody likes him I guess but that's not really what this thread was supposed to be about, or not what I was lead to believe this is about at least.

Of course then again, this really just comes down to being a popularity contest. On that note, I think I need to stop voting Selnor down because he is a really well known member.

as you stated it comes down to a popularity contest based on certain criteria so some one being well known isn't a major factor, because you can gain lots of points with out being a huge poster on the forums , having said that the people on the list are all well known if not well loved.

I was stating what the competition has become, not what it was intended to be. Sorry if I couldn't make it clearer what I was trying to say. He is voting down the person he is least familiar with or seems like that's what he's going with. I know other people on the list that he would probably have voted down in a heartbeat if it were based on his personal feelings toward people. Unless lestat and seece have a secret hatred toward each other that I never knew about that is. I personally probably would have voted down lestat if I hadn't talked with him in a chat a long time ago and didn't see him post on here occasionally, whereas Ninjablade and a few other people, I haven't seen post on the forum in months.

if the competion was for the most famous/ infamous you should just have a positive vote with out there being a negative vote at all, human nature dictates that some negative voting will be cast on personality clashes as much as who is the most famous VGer so it seems to me that this contest could have been a lot better if  leo had used a bit more foresight when coming up with the rules that way you  would have the same criteria from the get go to the end
