| BHR-3 said: dont think any one will care/notice but interesting none the less new owners or people buying the new console who are hard core gamers and online is a necessity to them are going to be looking to spend close to $400 on there purchase if choosing the 250gb sku i would never pay for online get what i need with PSN basic service, free demos weekly and free online gaming all that other stuff like early access and ect means nothing to me MS should offer a bundle deal like 5ys of XBL for like 160-$200 or allow silvers to participate in multiplayer online gaming imo |
The issue here is Microsoft are successful with their online proposition where as it's cost Sony a fortune running theirs. One of these models is sustainable long term, the other isn't you do the maths. I guarantee you Sony will charge for PSN when they release the PS4, they've had no choice this gen as they had to use free PSN as a selling point to justify the higher price point of the PS3.
I personally think they should open up party chat to silver members, I'm sure that would bring in some extra sign ups when people realise the fun they miss out by just being a silver account.
