That's not true. I cheated on my now wife 3 times years ago. Within year I never heard about it again and we've been fine since then. I can go out with the boys with no issues beyond watching out for my own stupidity in terms of drinking too much. But, we do things together and separate with friends with no issues of trust.
Btw, she trusted me before we got married and one cheating event was even after marriage. She knows of them all and we have no issues about them at all.
