Chunk the only issue is the moral high ground and you seem to want everyone on that high ground.
Even if the US gov't isnt directly invovled in global friends social decline then US companies will see the opportunity.
The quote is still relevant, keeping dictators in power to keep resources flowing makes sense for American businesses to invest without worry of instability in that region.
I am saying Americans should not be calling Americans the bad guys at least not in this manner. The rest of the world can say whatever they want, they are the rest of the world and honestly most Americans don't seem to notice the attention.
