There's probably about 50 milion people who used Live and like it (X360 gamers part of pc gamers). I don't know how much zune sold but i think figure might be lower than this.
Also John average won't even understand why 80% of this is important, for them biggest thing will Office integration.
Trust me level of technical ignorance is amazing in our society even among 20-30 years old gaming crowd.
