They molest children because they "don't know" what just happened to them, best chance at keeping it a secret and they are right, I'm sure most of the cases we DO know of is a minority of what is happening out there. These two things help explain the ratio of boys and girls being molested.
So yes, allowing priests to date and marry will change all this. Priest are human, every male masterbaits 2 or moretimes a week. If males don't masterbait, sperm would be slowly oozing out of the penis.
And you are right, if they changed this it wouldn't really have an impact right now, but I see that as little importance as it will change everything for the better in the future.
