just focus on your friends ignore studies and later in life you will be a success in business as well as socially due to the old school tie / old boys network.

Later in life you will forget those friends and everyone is going to go based on their career of choosing, and when you do bad in highschool you won't have much choices and end up in places you don't want to be in.
