It seems like the non-Nintendo fans are the ones more hyped about this than the Nintendo fans, which shows the peculiar nature of this game. Personally, i like what i've been described in terms of gameplay, though i now have my doubts about the story (especially after seeing that Ridley video), and find the item acquisition method to be bollocks.

 

I also like that it has a post-play mode, which is something that should have been included in Metroids before (though it would've been hard to, given that everything blows up at the end), but a chance to explore about a bit with all power-ups, without having to severely back-track before the final boss.
