Most of that 360 line up is just "more of the same". F4, Gears of War 3, PGR5.

Left 4 Dead 3 is the only big title IMO and the only 360 exclusive I personally have on the radar after Gears 3.

IMO that's always been the case with the 360's line up. More of the same, more of the same. Same old, same old. Been there, done that... Every year they release some of those regular titles, keep some of them for next year, add a few titles to the mix; and that's it, that's the line up for each year.

Gears

Halo

Fable

Forza

Mass Effect (no more ex)

L4D (I guess no more ex)

are the titles we hear about every year... And then they throw in the occasional other games like AW, Crackdown and SC, PGR and whatnot. If I were a 360 only gamer, I would be bored to tears by being given almost the same games to play each year. I would probably even stop playing games in general, because of the complete lack of variety in experiences provided. Let's take 3 of the biggest exclusives (at least here / on the net), Gears, Halo and Mass Effect. Even though they are very different in gameplay and are (imo) decent (Halo, Gears) - excellent (Mass Effect) games on their own, they all have these similarities and total lack of variation / "creativity" in certain aspects. Like they are all set in a space or including aliens, they all include gunplay, etc. There are so many recurring aspects in some of the games on the 360, and imo this total lack of variation between some of the games makes me not even look in the console's direction. Yes, there are certain games on the 360 that appeals/appealed to me, like Mass Effect and Alan Wake (could also mention Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, Braid, Limbo, Castle Crashers, Rez HD, Ikaruga, Ninja Gaiden 2, Crackdown.. Maybe even SP:C), but most of these are not made by MS themselves and are bound to end up on the PS3 as well, like most of them already have.

The sales of those franchises indicate that plenty of people like buying those games year after year, and tbh, it isn't fair to call Microsoft out for that, when Sony and Nintendo are doing the exact same thing for the forseeable future. I'm not going to go down the Wii and the PS3 future lineups, but you're acting like new IPs way outnumber sequels, when that isn't true at all.
