it's not even that, the effect will be great, but no it's not and here is why: Even though Sharp isn't the first to the game (Hitachi introduced a handset with a stereoscopic IPS display with Japanese carrier KDDI in Japan last year), the company plans to launch its new device internationally. We say, bring it on, and throw a picture or two of the handset our way, so we know what we're looking out for. http://asia.cnet.com/crave/2010/08/05/sharp-to-launch-3d-smartphone-this-year-no-need-for-glasses/
http://www.itechnews.net/2009/01/28/kddi-au-hitachi-wooo-h001-with-3d-display/ Nintendo is doing to it's 3DS that these companies are doing for their Smartphone's |
I already knew about this for a long time. And there's another cell phone with 3D display to launch soon on Japan.
Thing is. This is no "iPhone" as I mean it. This haven't spread the word about 3D glassesless screens, haven't turned it into a mainstream fad just like iPod made popular mp3 players and iPhone made popular touchscreen cell phones, despite those 2 not being the first one's having such ideas and technology.
3DS will arrive worlwide with the same tech as this mobile phone, but it will sell much much much more. That's why it will show to the world how 3D without glasses work. Will be the first mainstream device and people will say it is revolutionary and brought a breath of fresh air to the industry, like it is the first device using the tech, ignoring the previous "unknown" one's because they were completely overshadowed by the device that its making it famous: the 3DS.
:)
