Naughty dog can spend 20 million and 18 months on the PS3 version of Uncharted as there isn't a 360/PC version to worry about. But it the real world of budget and time deadlines, multiplatform development goes a long way. 2K needs to spend 20 million to make MAfia 2 and then on top they have to figure out how to port it to 3 platforms, which can be costly as well. How else do you explain 360 being out a year sooner, having inferior hardware and having more better looking multiplats? |
they are not more advanced version, they just have more polish since it was easier before to port it over, but now engines like unreal 3 and cry engine3 (which actually heard it runs better on the ps3 are out) are matured to avoid that problem.
it not about the hardware but mainly ps3 was released later, ports tend to be rushed.
that was the reason ff13 360 wasnt as good as the ps3 version, even they were made on the same engine which was made to be multiplatform engine. 360 version was rushed, compressed and lower resolution and having lower FPS.
it doesnt matter ps3 its more powerful it people dont take the time to use it.
if u go for exclusives from graphical archivement its clear ps3 it's ahead.
