It obviously varies quarter to quarter, but almost all the big publishers have been in trouble at some point this gen, all have had major or semi-major HD flops, and I'd like to see you qualify that "doing pretty well" with some financials to back it up... if you take a look at most IR reports, you'll find that's not at all the case. The list of companies who are really "doing pretty well" this gen imo is limited to like Nintendo, Blizzard, Valve and Level-5.
Plus we've seen an unheralded amount of studio layoffs, sellouts or outright closures this generation, and mostly from studios focusing on HD formats. Proportionately more than at any time since the big crash in the early 1980s.
