It was quite obviously released too early, otherwise it wouldn't have been in the state it was, which was basically the same as the beta. More info here- http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=404836&page=3 - one poster suggests that Stardock had to release now or wait until next February. Maybe they needed the money, they barely turn over £10 million a year after all- Valve/ Bioware/ id/ Bethesda/ Capcom/ Rockstar they ain't.

Seriously though, why are you bothered? What does it matter to you that Stardock fucked up?  Did you buy the game and are having trouble? Or did you just latch onto this story and decide a troll thread was a good idea?

I am a fan of their games (and them, with their stand against copy protection) and had hopes for this title, as the next Master if Magic title I was interested in.  I am in a state of dismay over it.  I knew of the game when it was being positioned to be MOM 2.  I was really impressed by Gal Civ also, and hoped for it.

In short, I wanted to get it, only to find this happened.  Things like this undermine one genre the PC has for itself, turn-based strategy.
