Seece, IMO you are so wrong here. Have there ever been times in your own life's experience where you preferred something that wasn't popular? Even with something that simple like music or movies? It seems a little immature to tell someone what is best based on what the masses think.

it's a sticky subject, after all all the millions that bought wii fit, and it only scored in the 80's? (I think) so clearly not one of the best games in all existance, that doesn't mean it isn't a very good game for what it is and for the masses.
I'm not gonna bring film or music into this, because it's a different kettle of fish IMO. But in terms of reviews/metacritic/gamerrankings (and yes I know some of you absoloutely loathe this, but it's the only form of how to sort the best from the best out) only the very best reach the top, and that means achieveing more than just FUN (again I'm expecting Nintendo fans to say something here.) Obviously having fun is the main part of a video game, but what makes FUN? it's a compilation of a lot of things, graphics, sound, story, gameplay, replay value and lots of other little bits.
So when a game sells 20 million, but scores 70, and a game that sells 5 but scores 96 happens, it doesn't mean it's a better game.
I should have been more clear tbh, I don't think sales of a game are an indicative of how amazing a game. SO I really meant in terms of reviews.
