I don't get this 5 or 10 minute burst...type of gaming. In any respect....a 30 minute burst is more realistic. Anyway, I suppose it depends on when and where people play or want to play their handhelds. Because I travel 45 minutes each way to work every day, this is idea for me...also in my lunchbreak...I get an hour to play away.
Most of the PSP games now come in smaller chunks to allow for on the go gaming and also with the PSP's sleep mode, this was intentional to allow for pausing gameplay for prolonged periods.
Although the PSP is a handheld, I just do not want to be restricted by so called handheld games...yes tailor them for the PSP...but don't cut them down. I and most other PSP owners like the idea of a home console system on the go...and thats why the PSP is perfect. Not only can you play it on the bus, at your work...and....all around the house. You don't need to go to your room (if you're a kid) to play your console....or if your missus is watching Corrie on the big TV in the Living room...you can go to the toilet if you want...or a darkened cupboard to play your PSP.
Comparing game genre's over both platforms is a good idea. And can hopefully put alot of these false claims to sleep.
