its what sony is doing why wouldnt microsoft do it aswell ?? 3rd Parties will continue to support 360 because people buy alot of games so they will easily support the 360... Plus more people buying Live , Points etc...

MS will abandon xbox360 the day next-xbox comes out. IMO

Like they did with there operating systems, like XP?

Anyway,...There might be 5 years more of life for the 360, but M$ isn't going to wait for another 5 years to release a new console, but I don't think we will see a new console until Holiday 2012 at the earliest.  Publishers and Developers are probably going to be jumping for joy the most, since that wil give them 2011 and most of 2012 to make some serious profits.
