In technical achievement, Uncharted 2. Everything looks much clearer and more detailed.

But in environment design...the halls of Olympus, the depths of Hades, Olympia...they all look so incredible that I have to give the victory to God of War III overall.

I don't know about that, in fact, I'd say because of more AA, God of War III looks clearer. I'll admit that character models are consistent in Uncharted 2, while in God of War III they are not. But environmnets have better textures in God of War III, the lighting is definitely better in God of War III, and sclae is unmatched by anything seen on the PS3 in God of War III.

So to run it down....

- Textures - God of War III

I personally think UC2 has marginally better textures.

- Character models - Uncharted 2 (although Kratos is the most stunning character model I've seen in a video game, period).

I agree about Kratos looking stunning, but UC2 had some "meh" character models too.. Elena and Flinn looked plasticy compared to others. I thought Hera and Pandora looked meh in III.

But I believe God of War III wins here because Kronos, Hades, Poseidon all look freaking awesome and when you take into consideration the character models of the A.I., GoW III wins....the cyclopses, minotaurs, olympian fiends, cerebus, gorgons and chimera were very impressive.

- Lighting - God of War III (When the light shines through or on rocks - sweet Jesus)

Agreed. I also love the lighting on the rope sequence near the three judges. Using the "head light" in the pitch black caves, and the place where there are a lot of big boxes looked sweet too. (tried to keep that spoiler free)

- Animations - Uncharted 2

Hell no. At times, the animations of UC2 (especially from the AI) looked very bad (especially those dudes with assault rifle type weapons). UC2's cutscenes had brilliant animations though. Kratos' animations were absolutely superb. There were a few odd times where the animations were bad though.

And Hephaestus' animations in the Forge. Enough said.

Edit : Oh and the animations of the enemies were better too...particularly the animations of the gorgons.

- Scale - God of War III

No kidding. But its not just UC2, God of War III pretty much obliterates every other game ever made in terms of sheer scale.

- Cutscenes- (I added this)

God of War III uses 100% in game cutscenes most of the time evident by the use of the skins you are using and open/closed orb chests present in cutscenes. UC2 on the other hand uses pre-recorded cutscenes using in-game assets which have been enhanced. Even though UC2 has a big advantage in this, God of War III still manages to hold its own, and it looks better when comparing with UC2's few 100% in-game cutscenes.

I feel like God of War III edges out the win.

God of War III wins. My opinion edited in above.
