Continental europeans and Scandinavians are in general FAR more leftist (and less conservative) than Americans (USAnians), so I find Entropers results pretty "uplifting" :). Are there more like you over there? :D
In our last election the conservative/liberals won, but in reality it all boils down to traditional swedish realpolitik.
No one would or could go to election and hope to win more than a few votes with a program with the weight on issues like abortion, homo weddings, arms regulations. Those questions are in general so marginalized that they are seldom discussed.
When those issues gets lots of attention in election campaigns or in the supreme court I sometimes think that Washington and Qum are closer related than Washington and Stockholm.
